Cheating in chess is a term meaning the limitation of the line of action of a long-range figure by the course of another figure of the same color on this line. If, as a result of such a move, the long-range figure is completely deprived of the opportunity to move, such an immuring is called complete. In other cases, they talk about partial immuring. It can be a topic in a problem or etude . Zamurovanie figures often accompanied by its critical course . In the variety of forms distinguish the following two types:
a) Kling's theme is active walling, where the weaker side seeks to escape, using the walling up of its figure after a critical move to create a stalemate . For the first time as a defense, it was carried out in the etude of the German composer J. Kling , 1849 );
b) Seeberger's theme is passive immuring , where the weaker side is forced to make a critical move with its long-range figure, then shut it off, subsequently either losing this figure or getting into the position of zugzwang (such unmixing can be complete or partial). The theme is named after the Austrian problematist I. Seeberger ( 1843 - 1879 ) - the author of the composition, published in 1860 . Later, the task of W. Grimshaw (compiled in 1851 ) was discovered, in which partial blacking out of the black figure was carried out.
