Hema Malini ( born Hema Malini , there. ஹேமமாலினி , Hindi हेमा मालिनी ; born October 16, 1948 ) is an Indian film actress , dancer , producer , director and politician . In Russia, she is best known for the roles of the twins Zita and Gita in the film of the same name . In total, in the filmography of the actress, there are more than 160 films. Career
Hema’s film debut in 1965 was a Telugu film “Pandu leaves this world” ( Telugu Pandava Vanavasam , ex .: “The Exile of the Pandavas”), where she played a dancer. Her first Hindi film was Dream Seller (1968), where her first partner was Raj Kapoor .
Then there were other paintings where Hema played with famous actors - Rajesh Khan , Shammi and Shashi Kapoor, Sanjiv Kumar , Dharmendra , Amitabh Bachchan , Jitendra , Dev Anand , Vinod Khana . In these paintings, she appears in a romantic role of a kind and loving girl, a devoted wife and mother.
In more than 35 films, Hema starred with Dharmendra. In 2011, she shot the film Tell Me O Kkhuda with Rishi Kapoor , Vinod Khanna , Dharmendra and her daughter Esha, but like the previous one, he failed at the box office.
Hema Malini became the second Tamil actress after Vijayantimala , who became the star of Hindi films . Political Activities
In recent years, Hema Malini and her husband have been involved in politics and have entered the Upper House of the Indian Parliament with the support of the Indian People’s Party (BJP). In 1999, Hema stood for the BJP candidate, Vinod Khannu , a former Bollywood actor, in the Lower House elections in the Punjabi district of Gurdaspur . Since 2004, Hema Malini officially joined the BJP, becoming in 2010-2011 its Secretary General.
Personal life
Hema Malini is married to actor Dharmendra . They have two daughters - Ash and Achan. Asha followed in the footsteps of her mother and became a film actress. In addition, the daughters of Hema, like her mother, studied dance in the style of Bharatanatyam and perform in joint dance programs with her or separately. The sons of Dharmendra from their first marriage - Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol - are also film actors.
Hema Malini professes Vaishnavism , is a follower of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness [2] .
