The Mordvinovs are the Russian noble family of pillar nobility and (since 1834) the count family [1] .

There are three surnames of the Mordvinovs:
- The offspring of Zhdan Mordvinov, taken as amanate in 1546 (Coat of arms. Part I, No. 85). Counts Mordvinova belong to this (Coat of arms. Part XI. No. 10).
- Descendants of Ratman Mordvinov (d. Until 1624) (Coat of arms. Part XIX. No. 7).
- Descendants of Ivan Grigorievich Mordvinov, land surveyor in Alatyr (1781-1790) (not included in the coat of arms) [1] .
Zhdan Mordvinov, with two smaller brothers, was taken to amanats from the Mordovians (1546) and received an estate in Koporye . Rudak Bulatov Mordvinov is mentioned in the service (1546). Timofey Semenovich for his service in the war with Poland (1654-1656) was granted the estate.
The genus is included in the II, V and VI parts of the genealogy books of Moscow [2] , Kursk, Novgorod, Petrograd, Yaroslavl provinces.
Counts of Mordvinov
Emperor Nicholas I by the highest decree (June 25, 1834), for long-term services important to the Fatherland, Admiral Nikolai Semenovich Mordvinov elevated dignity to the count of the Russian Empire with descendants from him and (April 17, 1836) he was awarded a letter of honor to this dignity [1] .
Famous Representatives
- Nikolai Semenovich (1754-1845) - admiral, count (since 1834), Russian statesman. The family estate of Mordvinovo is named after him.
- Alexander Nikolaevich (1799 / 1800-1858) - Count, famous amateur artist.
- Mordvinov Alexander Aleksandrovich Sr. (1843-1891) - Count, Stalmeister of the Highest Court and leader of the nobility of St. Petersburg. provinces (1888-1890).
- Mordvinov Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Jr. (1887-1950) - Count, a major Yalta homeowner and philanthropist, owner of the estate "Good wasteland."
The genus is included in the VI part of the genealogy books of the Kazan, Penza, Samara, Tambov and Tula provinces [3] .

In the coat of arms of Anisim Titovich Knyazev in 1785 there is an image of a seal with the coat of arms of the engineer-lieutenant-general (1774), engineer-general Mikhail Ivanovich Mordvinov (1725-1782): gray signs are depicted in the silver field of the shield, which is oval, of which the middle one with two curls, it resembles the tamgas of some nomadic tribes (Mordvinovs of Mordvinian origin) (the tamga on print is similar to the tamga. The ram’s head is on coins and over the coinage of the great princes of Ryazan). The shield is crowned with a crowned noble helmet, without a neck glue . Crest: three ostrich feathers. Bait : none. Shield holder : a rising lion , with a protruding tongue and a raised tail. On the left side of the shield are military reinforcement in the form of banners, guns. Around the shield is an order ribbon with an order cross [4] .

Coat of arms of the Mordvinovs: in a shield that has a silver field, two sabers are depicted crosswise, with their points pointed down and a hunting pipe under them. The shield is crowned with an ordinary noble helmet with a noble crown on it. The shield on the shield is silver, blue and red. Shield holders : on the right side there is a white horse, and on the left in armor there is a dressed warrior in a helmet with a spear in his hand. Coat of arms of the Mordvinovs of the Tambov branch: in a blue shield cross two silver sabers with gold handles and lanyards. Above the shield, a noble crowned helmet. Crest: five ostrich feathers - middle and extreme - blue, second and fourth silver. Bait: blue with silver. Shield holders: on the right is a golden lion with red eyes and tongue, on the left is a knight in silver armor with red feathers on a helmet, holding a black spear with a black spear in his left hand. Motto: << FOR THE KING >> silver letters on a blue ribbon [5] .

Coat of arms of Counts Mordvinov: the shield is half-dissected, crossed. On average, with a golden shield, the Imperial Eagle, with a shield scarlet with a gold border on its chest, with a golden monogram image of the name of Emperor Nicholas I. In the first, silver part, there are two azure shields, curved swords laid down and overturned on the cross, accompanied at the tip by a hunting horn black with gold jewelry. In the second, azure part, there are four silver flags laid on the cross, the first with two azure anchors crosswise, others with the same St. Andrew's crosses, all with golden poles. The third part is divided by a tip. In the first, green field, golden, with a scarlet tail, cone, to the left. In the second, green field, a golden hive, accompanied in the chapter by three silver bees. In the third, scarlet field, silver scales.
The shield is crowned with the count's crown with three count helmets, on the middle - the count’s crown. Crest: the emerging imperial eagle with a shield scarlet with a gold border on its chest, with the same monogram image of the name of Emperor Nicholas I. The second and third helmets with noble crowns. The second crest is a silver hourglass, with a gold stand, decorated with two black eagle wings. The third crest is a silver flag with a blue St. Andrew’s cross, with a gold pole. Hints: medium - black, with gold, extreme - azure, with silver. Shield holders: a silver horse with red eyes and tongue and black hooves, and in silver armor a warrior holding a spear in his left hand. Motto: “Faithfulness and Truth”, in azure letters, on a silver ribbon. - Mordvinov Ivan Muratovich - a nobleman of the Bezhetskaya pyatina, is beaten by the Poles near Smolensk (1634).
- Mordvinovs: Fedor, Stepan, Mikhail and Semyon Menshov - Moscow nobles (1692).
- Mordvinov Philip Timofeevich - solicitor (1682), steward (1686).
- Mordvinov Ivan Timofeevich - Moscow nobleman (1692), died during the capture of Narva (November 19, 1700) [6] [1] .
- Mordvinov Semyon Ivanovich (1701-1777) - Admiral, wrote several works on maritime affairs, navigational astronomy, etc. (father of Count Nikolai Semenovich Mordvinov).
