Qutbut d-din Mahmoud ibn Masoud al-Shirazi ( Pers. قطب‌الدین شیرازی , Kaserun , 1236 - Tabriz , 1311 ) - an outstanding Persian astronomer , mathematician , philosopher, doctor.

Al-Shirazi owns the encyclopedic work “The Pearl of the Crown for Decorating Dibaj,” commentary on the “Arithmetic” by Nikomakh Gerazsky , commentary on the treatise “On the rolling motion and on the relation between flat and curved” (it is assumed that this treatise belongs to at-Tusi), the treatise "The Limit of Comprehension in the Knowledge of the Celestial Spheres", commentary on the "Canon of Medical Science" by Ibn Sina and a number of other works.

Qutb ad-Din al-Shirazi was also a famous Sufi . He owns a commentary on the Shahab ad-Din Yahya Suhrawardi treatise, “The Wisdom of Illumination.”
