Utrechts Conservatory ( Netherlands. Utrechts Conservatorium ) - The Netherlands Conservatory , located in Utrecht . Opened in 1875 as a music performing school ( Dutch. Toonkunst-Muziekschool ). In 1974 , the conservatory was housed in two old buildings liberated for her: in the building of the former hospital of the Order of Hospitallers of St. St. John of God (which opened in 1896 and functioned as a hospital until 1971 ) and in a building built in 1845 , which burned down in 1988 and was rebuilt with a completely renovated internal structure, called the House of Arts and Sciences ( Dutch: Gebouw voor Kunsten en Wetenschappen ) [1] .
Since 1987 , the Utrecht Conservatory, having included the Carillon School and the Netherlands Institute of Church Music, has been organizationally part of the Utrecht Higher School of Arts .
