Valars Group is a Russian agricultural trading company that existed in the period 2006-2011. She was one of the largest Russian grain traders and agricultural producers [2] . The headquarters was located in the city of Taganrog ( Rostov Region , Russia ).

History
It was created by a group of managers of grain trader “ Yugtransitservice ” headed by the former general director Kirill Podolsky who left the company as a result of a corporate conflict [3] [4] . In November 2008, all assets of Yugtransitservice were purchased by Valars and incorporated into it [5] .
In 2010, the company was reorganized and divided into 2 companies according to the lines of activity - the agricultural holding Valinor and the trading company Valars [6] , the main beneficiary of which was Kirill Podolsky. Podolsky spoke about such a scenario for business development back in 2008 [3] .
Owners and management
The main owner is Valars Management Limited, a company registered in Cyprus [7] . At the time of the reorganization (July 2011), the shares of Valars Management Limited belonged to K. Podolsky (51%) and a group of top managers of Valars [8] .
Activities
The main activities both before and after the reorganization are agricultural production (cultivation of grain and oilseeds) and export of agricultural products.
Agroholding Valinor has the following assets:
- 238 thousand hectares of land (in the Rostov region, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories) in Russia
- 120 thousand hectares of land (in Poltava, Vinnitsa, Sumy, Cherkasy, Nikolaev, Kherson regions) in Ukraine
- storage assets with a total capacity of 972 thousand tons
- 4580 units of agricultural machinery and 750 units of freight vehicles.
The agricultural holding's products are cereals (wheat, barley, corn), oilseeds (sunflower, rapeseed), sugar beets [9] .
Valars sales offices are located in Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland and Kazakhstan [6] .
Valars' assets also include Taganrog Shipyard OJSC (used by the company as a terminal for transshipment of grain to water transport) [10] .
Performance Indicators
In 2006, revenue amounted to $ 559.5 million, operating profit - $ 17.7 million, net profit - $ 10.5 million. Commodity turnover in 2007 amounted to 1.1 million tons; revenue - $ 314 million; operating profit - $ 15 million.
