September 16, 1944 the regiment was reorganized into the 870th cannon artillery regiment

It must be borne in mind that during July-August (more precisely, from July 29, 1942 to August 28, 1942), the 870th anti-tank fighter regiment reorganized from the 870th howitzer artillery regiment operated on the Stalingrad Front. These units are not the same formation of the regiment, although it is possible that the personnel of the first formation moved to the second formation.
