Biography
Represented Nauru at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , completed the 14th event in the category of over 105 kg [1] . He won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2006, three gold medals at the South Pacific Games of 2007 [2] .
At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Itte Detenamo was the only athlete to compete for Nauru [2] . He took 10th place, breaking his personal best, lifting a total of 385 kg in the category over 105 kg [3] . In addition, Detenamo carried the flag of Nauru at the opening ceremony of the Olympics.
