Faddan (feddan) ( Arabic: فدّان , faddān ) - Egyptian measure of area, was also used in Syria and Sudan . Distinguish [1] :
- Faddan until the beginning of the XIX century = 400 square kasab = 6368 m² .
- Faddan from the beginning of the 19th century to 1830 = square kasaba = m²
- Faddan after 1830 = square kasaba after 1830 = 24 kirat = 72 hubs = 144 Danica = 576 sahms = 4201 m² .
