Charles-Frederic Duvernoy ( fr. Charles-Frédéric Duvernoy ; 1766 , Montbeliard , - February 28, 1845 ) - French clarinet player and composer . The younger brother of the horn player and composer Frederic Duvernois .

He studied music with a regimental musician in the Strasbourg garrison, after which he entered the military orchestra. From 1790 he played in the orchestras of the leading Parisian theaters, in 1795-1824 he was the first clarinet professor at the newly created Paris Conservatory . The author of clarinet concerts and sonatas, as well as various arias. Duvernois is dedicated to the sonata for clarinet and piano by Francois Devien .
The sons of Duvernois - singer (1796-1872), trumpeter Antoine-Francois-Frederic-Auguste Duvernois (1800-1874) and composer (1820-1906).
