Biography

Born on June 5, 1911 in Sasovo, Tambov province, in the family of a railwayman. Father - Alexander Georgievich (1889-1976), mother - Maria Leontyevna (1889-1934). In 1918 he entered the Sasovskaya elementary railway school. In 1922, the family moved to Prozorovka (then Kratovo) in the Moscow province , where he continued his studies at a seven-year school.

In 1926 he joined the Komsomol and soon became secretary of the Kratov cell. After leaving school, he studied at the 9-year-old school of Ramensky, Moscow Region, and graduated from the 10th grade at Moscow Railway School No. 1. He began his career in 1929 as a laborer, then as an assistant locksmith. Since October 16, 1930, according to the Komsomol draft, he has been working at the mine of Bobrik-Donskoy in the Moscow Region as a trolley racer, a slaughterer. In 1931 he became secretary of the Komsomol committee of the mine, on April 25, 1931 joined the ranks of the CPSU (b) . In 1933, he rose to the assistant director of the mine. In 1934, he studied at the labor faculty at the Moscow Engineering and Economic Institute . S. Ordzhonikidze. In July 1940, Molodtsov became the deputy head of the department, and on March 1, 1941, he became the head of the 2nd department of the 7th Division in foreign intelligence . With the outbreak of World War II, on July 8, 1941, he accompanied his wife and 3 children to evacuation in Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo Region , July 19, 1941, having received a special task from the command, arrived in Odessa to organize partisan formations, as well as to direct sabotage and reconnaissance work in the rear the enemy under the pseudonym Pavel Badayev (operational name is “Cyrus”). The pseudonym was chosen by the name of Molodtsov's wife, Antonina Badayeva. The operation itself received the name "Fort". Directly led units in the Odessa catacombs and in the city. October 16-18, 1941, the first partisan attacks on the Romanian troops that occupied Odessa were carried out. On October 22, 1941, the Romanian commandant’s office was blown up with the help of a radio frequency bomb during a meeting held there. Two generals were killed (in particular, the commandant of the Odessa garrison, Ion Glogozhanu) and 147 officers. On November 17, 1941, a luxury echelon with the administration for occupied Odessa near the Zastava station was blown up. Destroyed over 250 officers and officials. Until the beginning of 1942, despite the extremely difficult conditions in the catacombs, the guerrilla detachment repeatedly destroyed wire lines, railroad tracks, sabotage was carried out in the seaport, the dam of the Hadzhibey estuary was blown up, enemy manpower and equipment were destroyed, roads were mined, valuable reconnaissance was mined Information for Betting . Soviet aviation more than once delivered precise bombing strikes, the coordinates for which the commander transmitted to the "Center". A detachment of 75-80 people, based in the catacombs, diverted significant forces of the "SS" troops and the field gendarmerie of up to 16 thousand people. Romanian and German security services blew up, mined and concreted the exits, released poisonous gases into the mines, poisoned the water in the wells, left ambushes, etc., but the detachment was operational.

On February 9, 1942, as a result of the betrayal of one of the members of the detachment, the unit commander <P. Badayev> (Molodtsov V. A.), his associates T. U. Mezhigurskaya and T. G. Shestakova , and also Y. Y. Gordienko were arrested apartment in the city. In prison, the Sigurans commander and partisans courageously endured savage torture, but did not extradite anyone.

On May 29, 1942, he spoke for the first time only after the death sentence was announced - he replied to the offer to submit a request for clemency: “We do not ask for clemency from our enemies on our land!”

He died on July 12, 1942 in Odessa. The burial place is unknown.
