History of Creation and Development
It was established on February 25, 1932 as the Broadcasting Committee under the Regional Executive Committee of the Soviets of Workers, Peasants and Red Army Deputies (Northern Radio Committee) [1] . In 1937, the Vologda Radio Committee was separated from the Northern Radio Committee ; the Northern Radio Committee itself became the Arkhangelsk Radio Committee. Television broadcasting in the Arkhangelsk region appeared in 1956. In 1963, the State Telecentre of Arkhangelsk was built. In 1970, the Moscow-Arkhangelsk radio relay line began to operate. The first program of central television was seen by residents of the region, and the second program went through Orbit. In 1974, the video was mastered. This allowed preserving the appearance of prominent people and historical events for posterity. In 1982, television broadcasting became color, thanks to new technologies. And in 1991, the Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting of the Arkhangelsk Regional Executive Committee was transformed into the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Pomorie". In 2003, the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Pomorie went on the air on the Russia TV channel on the third and ninth frequency channels. In 2005, it became a branch of VGTRK.
