Biography

Club career

Cornelis Alidanis Payle, better known as Kes Payle in the early twenties, was one of the best strikers in the Netherlands. Kes began his football career in 1916 with the Feyenoord youth club. Five years later, at the age of 24, Payle became a player on the Feyenoord main squad, and three years later, in 1924, Pale won his first Dutch title.

In 1928, Pale became a two-time champion of the Netherlands, and two years later he won the Netherlands Cup . For more than two decades, Payle was one of the best strikers in the Dutch championship, from 1921 to 1939 Kes played 203 matches for Feyenoord and scored 179 goals, this is the second in the club, and the first Feyenoord record holder is Jap Barendregt , who scored 196 goals in 238 matches.

Team Career

In the Dutch national team, Payle made his debut on March 23, 1924 in a match against the Belgian national team ; in his first match, Kes scored a goal that helped his national team play 1-1 against the Belgians.
