A Brief History
April 14, 1980 - the Bryansk Agricultural Institute was organized with three faculties: agronomic and zooengineering, mechanization and agricultural economics, and secondary agricultural education.
Organized educational-experimental farm "Kokino";
1980 - 90-apartment building was built;
1981 - Four independent faculties were organized: agronomic, zooengineering, agricultural mechanization, economic;
1981 - opened a sanatorium;
1982 - a dining room with 450 seats and a residential building with 78 apartments were built;
1983 - the faculty of distance learning is organized;
1983 - began scientific work on the experimental field and built a house for 89 apartments;
1984 - the first graduation of specialists with higher education;
1984 - hostel No. 5 for 535 beds was put into operation;
1985 - hostel No. 6 for 535 beds and a service block were put into operation;
1986 - training and production workshops "Module" were built;
1986 - the faculty of advanced training began to work;
1987 - a residential building with 80 apartments was built;
1988 - the Department of Irrigation and Reclamation was established on the basis of the affiliated Bryansk branch of the Moscow Irrigation and Reclamation Institute;
1989 - completed the formation of a training motor vehicle park with garages , workshops, a training ground and a race track ;
1989 - kindergarten-nursery for 280 children and treatment facilities for 750 cubic meters per day were put into operation;
1990 - postgraduate study opened;
1992 - the institute has successfully passed the State certification;
1992 - a residential building with 60 apartments was built;
1994 - obtained licenses for publishing and printing, publishing and printing houses were opened;
1994 - the small-family dormitory No. 7 was put into operation for 224 places;
1995 - the educational building No. 3 was put into operation, which houses the faculties of agricultural mechanization and irrigation and drainage;
1995 - the irrigation and drainage faculty was transformed into the faculty of water management;
1995 - The Bryansk Agricultural Institute was renamed the Bryansk State Agricultural Academy;
1996 - the Academy successfully passed the State certification and received State accreditation;
1997 - The Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization was transformed into the Faculty of Engineering;
1997 - The Faculty of Water Management was transformed into the Faculty of Environmental Engineering;
1997 - The Faculty of Agronomy is transformed into the Agroecological Institute;
1998 - the dissertation council for the defense of dissertations for the degree of candidate of sciences was approved;
1998 - The Faculty of Zoo Engineering was transformed into the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics;
1999 - the dissertation council for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Sciences was approved;
1999 - the educational and experimental agroecological station was created;
1999 - A branch of the Academy was organized - the Bryansk Institute for Advanced Studies in the agricultural and agricultural sector ( Michurinsky settlement);
1999 - an information technology center was established;
1999 - the specialties Marketing , Organization Management, and Commerce (Trading) were opened;
2000 - gained access to the global Internet information network;
2000 - a small-family dormitory No. 8 for 60 apartments was commissioned;
2001 - the specialty "Applied Informatics (in Economics)" was opened;
2001 - Doctoral studies in the specialty 03.00.27 "Soil Science";
2002 - the specialty "Safety of technological processes and production in the agricultural sector" was opened at the Faculty of Engineering;
2003 - Doctoral studies in the specialty 06.01.09 "Crop Production";
2003 - the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering were transformed into the Faculty of Engineering of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Environmental Engineering;
2004 - the agrometeorological station was commissioned;
2004 - training and consulting centers were opened in Roslavl (Smolensk region), Trubchevsk , Lokot ;
2005 - the Academy successfully passed the State certification and received State accreditation for 5 years;
2006 - Bryansk State Agricultural Academy celebrated its 25th anniversary;
2006 - The Faculty of Energy and Environmental Management was established;
2006 - The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established;
2008 - the specialties "Technology of Food Products", "Food Engineering of Small Enterprises" were opened;
2009 - the light fountain of the dendrological park was opened
2010 - specialties “Economics and Accounting”, “Automation of technological processes and production (in agriculture)” were opened
Over the 30 years of its existence, the Academy has produced 25 graduations of highly qualified specialists; all prepared more than 15 thousand.
2014 - the Academy successfully passed the State certification;
2014 - Bryansk State Agricultural Academy was renamed the Bryansk State Agrarian University;
