History

In accordance with the directive of the Deputy People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR, Colonel-General of Artillery N. Vorontsov From 04/04/1942 for No. 74/551, the regiment was formed from 03/13/1942 to 07/05/1942 at the Zuevka station in the Kirov region , mainly equipped with recruits in the region.

He was armed with 152 mm cannons .

On the basis of the telegraphic order of the headquarters of the Moscow military district No. 595/1032, 07/14/1942 arrived at the railway station Hrenovaya . July 15, 1942 an order was received to concentrate in the area of ​​Middle Ikorets, Razdolny, Zarechny farm with the task of supporting the actions of the army in disrupting the enemy’s forcing in the region of the city of Liberty (now Georgiu-Dezh ).

07/18/1942 occupied the observation posts of batteries, divisions and a regiment along the banks of the Don in the vicinity of the city of Korotoyak and the village of Petropavlovsk, and firing positions south of Troitsk and east of Donishche. The regiment was set a limit on the consumption of shells - no more than 5 per day.

Since July 19, 1942, it has been shelling enemy troops breaking through from Korotoyak and crossing the Don . 07/21/1942 conducts shelling of Korotoyak , supporting units of the 174th Infantry Division advancing on the city. Until 08/06/1942 conducts defensive battles in their positions. 07/06/1942 supports the units of the 25th Guards Division in forcing the Don and seizing the bridgehead. 08/08/1942 supports parts of the 174th Infantry Division , 08/09/1942 takes part in repelling the counterattack of enemy troops, from 20 August to 17/09/1942 , conducts heavy defensive battles.

On the night of 10/28/1942 , the regiment plunged into the echelons, sent to the region of Stalingrad, where it became part of the 7th artillery division in its composition and conducted military operations until the end of the war.
