The Historical Museum ( Ukrainian: Historical Museum , design name - Museum ) is a station under construction at the Central Factory Line of the Dnieper Metro . It will be located on Cathedral Square , between the Tsentralnaya station under construction and the designed Dnepr, near the Historical Museum and the Dnieper Polytechnic . It is assumed that the depth of the station will be 80 meters, which will make it the second for this indicator in Europe [1] .

Among all the proposed names of the station (“Museum”, “Historical Museum”, “Oktyabrskaya”, “Cathedral”), it is the “Historical Museum” that was fixed after September 2010.
The further construction of the Central Factory Line from the Historical Museum station is still very doubtful. Many disagree on where exactly this metro line should be lead. The official version of the authorities is that the line should go from the Historical Museum station to the Dnepr-Lotsmanskaya station, which will become a transfer terminal for the new rail bus system. (A rail bus will connect the suburbs of the Dnieper with its center.) And then go to the sleeping area in the south-eastern part of the Dnieper. Accordingly, no construction of the Dnepr station is foreseen.
Another version is to continue on the line through the Dnepr station on the embankment, and then direct it to the southeast of the city, along the embankment. The mayor , however, has another option: they plan to build a transport hub for connecting the Dnipro station, railway and city vehicles directly near the Prospectnaya Stopping Point railway station, at the very beginning of Yavornytsky Avenue [2] , and not on the waterfront, as it was originally. It is also possible to build a transport hub with the Dnepr station with its initial (projected) location, but so far all this is just an assumption and clarity with the construction of the Dnepr station and its location.
The third version is based on the metro construction plan approved in 1986. This plan, like the current official one, did not provide for the line to reach the embankment, but there was no project with the construction of the Lotsmanskaya station near the Dnepr-Lotsmanskaya station. The line made a sharp turn to the south, along Gagarin Avenue, through the Vuzovskiy microdistrict, with an exit and subsequent movement along the Zaporizhzhya Highway.
And, finally, the fourth version, which is now comically called utopia, is the branching of the projected line from the Historical Museum station to the Dnipro station and the Yuzhny railway station station with its subsequent merger in the sleeping area, located along the embankment in southeastern parts of the city. At the same time, one of the branched sections of the line is supposed to be made with limited train traffic. But so far, all these ideas look very vague prospects for the construction of the Central Factory Line.
