Biography
He graduated from the Leipzig Conservatory with Karl Reinecke . Since 1897 , he taught there, since 1908 , a professor. Teichmüller’s students of different times include Siegfried Karg-Elert , Rudolf Maria Breithaupt , Erwin Schulhof , Willy Burkhard , Otmar Schöck , Eileen Joyce , Balis Dvarionas , Poldi Mildner , Mark Lavry and others. He edited various editions of piano literature, from Haydn to Max Reger . In 1927 , he compiled and published (together with Kurt German) an annotated reference book for pianists, “International Contemporary Piano Music” ( German: Internationale Moderne Klaviermusik ).
