Hydraulic pipe benders
Pipe bender - a machine or fixture designed for bending pipes .
Modern pipe benders provide:
- bending pipes up to 90 degrees;
- work with pipes with a diameter of 5 to 1220 millimeters;
- work with pipes made of metal (aluminum, copper, steel) and other materials (for example, PVC ).
Pipe bending equipment is widely used in the field of construction and repair work. The laying of gas and water pipelines, the production of all kinds of fences, frame structures, swings, exercise machines, furniture, the production of cars and motorcycles are the field of application of pipe bending machines.
Pipe benders are divided according to the type of drive and the method of bending.
By type of drive
- Manual (usually used for bending pipes of small diameter from stainless steel, non-ferrous metals and polymers)
- Hydraulic (allow bending pipes with a diameter of up to 3 inches without much effort on the part of the worker; can be manual and stationary)
- Electromechanical (used in a fairly wide range of pipe diameters, provide high accuracy of the angle and radius of bending, and, unlike hydraulic pipe benders, allow bending including thin-walled pipes without deformation). In all-electric machines, movements are carried out by servos.
- Hybrid (combination of hydraulic and electric axes)
- Bending by heating (used for thick-walled pipes of large diameter, the bending section is heated by induction heating to ensure deformation).
By bending method
- Crossbow (a special form is used as a bending element, designed for a specific pipe diameter)
- Spring-loaded (spring used for manual strain-free bending of plastic pipes)
- Segment (pipe bends a special segment, pulling the pipe around itself)
- Abyssal (pipe bends by winding onto a bending roller)
- Dorn or with a filler (the pipe bends by winding onto a bending roller, to eliminate corrugation, a mandrel or filler is installed inside the pipe)
