The administrative center is the village of Aban , 309 km east of Krasnoyarsk .
Content
Geography
The area is located in the eastern part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The area of the district is 9512 km² [3] . The territory is divided into southern forest-steppe and northern taiga zones. From west to east, the region stretches for 124 km, from north to south - for 120 km.

History
Abansky district was formed on April 4, 1924. December 9, 1925 included in the Kansky District of the Siberian Territory . After July 30, 1930 it was transferred to the direct subordination of the East Siberian Territory . Since December 7, 1934 it has been part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory . In 1944-1963 Dolgomostovsky district was separated from it.

Local government
The head of the district and the chairman of the district Council of Deputies is Anatoly Anatolyevich Anpilogov . As of 2014, the Council consists of 30 deputies. The head of the administration of the Abansky district is Ivanchenko Galina Vasilievna .
Economics
The largest share in the turnover of organizations is agriculture and forestry - 55.6%, wholesale and retail trade, vehicle repair - 18%.
Abansky district is one of the largest agricultural producers in the region. This is an agricultural region specializing in primary production of grain crops with their further processing. The cattle breeding area specializes in raising cattle and pigs.
Abansky district has large forest reserves. Forest resources are 66.1 million m³, of which 43.7 million m³ are coniferous.

The industry of the region is represented by the timber industry, food and light industries, and coal mining. In the total volume, the share of the forestry industry is 56.1%, coal - 16.7% , light - 6.3% , food - 20.5% .
Education
On the territory of the Abansky district there are 30 educational institutions, as well as a Center for psychological and pedagogical support of children. The network of educational institutions comprises 13 secondary schools; 2 basic comprehensive schools, 1 branch, 12 preschool educational institutions, 1 primary vocational education institution, 2 additional education institutions.
In Aban, there are 3 secondary schools (secondary school No. 1, secondary school No. 3, secondary school No. 4), as well as SPTU, specializing in the training of combine harvesters, tractor drivers and motorists.
Health
In the district there is a central district hospital, a district hospital, a general medical center, 34 feldsher-midwife stations.

Culture
In the region there are 41 cultural and leisure institutions, 38 libraries, 14 rural cinema installations, about 200 cultural and leisure groups (in which about 2 thousand participants are involved), the regional museum of local history, the Avangard film and cultural center, and a children's music school.
Transport and Communications
The number of bus routes - 15, including suburban - 6. The length of bus routes in the region of 1311 km, including suburban 173 km, long-distance 827 km. There is one carrier operating in automobile passenger transport in the district - JSC Avtotransportnoe predpriyatie.
Of 64 settlements, 43 are telephoned. The number of telephone sets of the public network is 1920 units. The population with apartment phones is 77 pcs. per 1000 people.
The number of post offices - 14.
Since 2006, cellular communication provided by Beeline , ETK , MegaFon , MTS operators has become available in Aban.
Since 2008, the Internet has become available in the village of Aban (and since 2009 also in the villages of Berezovka and Ustyansk).
