History
The building was built on the site of a former farm (the remains of whose premises were preserved in the left wing of the building) under the name Niderl. Huis Sorgvliet by Jacob Kats , who lived here since July 14, 1652 , and was originally one-story. In 1675, the estate passed into the possession of Hans Willem Bentink , chamberlain of William III . His son Willem Bentink in 1738 attached a bell tower to the building.
In 1999 - 2004, the building underwent major repairs in order to bring it to modern standards of safety and comfort.
