Ashl

Ashl (ashl, tanab) - a unit of measurement of distance in Muslim countries in the Middle Ages . The name comes from the word "rope", "chain". In Persia in the XVII century, the term tanab was used to refer to this unit of measurement [1] .

1 ashl (tanab) = 10 kasab = 60 cubits of Hashimi = 80 canonical cubits = 1/150 farcah = 39.9 meters [1] .
