Edible Arracaça ( Latin: Arracácia xanthorrhíza ) is a plant of the Umbrella family , widely cultivated in South America as a vegetable crop . Its root crop , which is a cross between carrot and celery root crops , is a popular food product in Brazil , Venezuela , Ecuador and Peru. Large root crops only at a temperature of 14-21 ° C
