Anatoly Petrovich Andriyashev ( August 6 [19] 1910 , Montpellier , France - January 4, 2009 , St. Petersburg ) - Soviet Russian ichthyologist , zoogeographer, one of the largest specialists in deep-water fish . Author of more than 250 scientific papers.

Biographical

  • 1933 - Graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the Leningrad State University with a degree in Ichthyology.
  • 1938 - 1939 - laboratory assistant, assistant professor at the Leningrad State University .
  • 1939 - 1943 - Senior Researcher of the Sevastopol Biological Station, then - an employee of the Zoological Institute (ZIN) of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
  • 1943 - 1946 - Scientific Secretary of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences, since 1946 - Deputy Director for Science.
    • later - senior, then chief researcher, head of the department of fish in the Arctic and Antarctic.
  • 1951 - defended a thesis for the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences "Fauna of fishes of the northern seas of the USSR and its origin"
  • July 1, 1966 he was elected a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences in the Department of General Biology with a degree in Zoology.
