Story

In the small principality there lived two poor orphans: brother May and sister Marta. They were beggars of their own free will, since the boy May possessed a magical gift to find gold: the closer the gold, the more he had a headache. The sister, not wanting her brother to suffer, forbade May to use her gift. Before Christmas, the villain Gorgon abducts, hoping to get rich with the help of the extraordinary abilities of the boy.

Martha sets off in search of her brother and meets the inventor and doctor, poet and philosopher, tramp and thinker Orlando. Together they wander the world in search of May, overcoming all kinds of obstacles and temptations, until one day Orlando defeats the witch Chumu at the cost of his life.

After ten years of wandering, Martha comes into the land in which the cruel prince rules with his people. And it is here that Martha finally finds her brother, but only in order to lose him again: May is this cruel prince, he changed, learned to manage his gift, now he not only does not feel pain from gold, he can even attract him by force thoughts. Gorgon is happy - he has grown a copy of himself, he believes that his soul lives in May.

Deciding that Martha has no place in the castle, Gorgon first wants to bribe her to leave, and when the girl refuses, she puts her in a tower. May comes to her sister and, seeing her suffering, becomes convinced of the worthlessness of her lived existence. Using his gift, May “calls” all the gold in the castle to himself - and destroys the castle. In the ruins, Martha wakes up and sees May, who no longer feels gold, but the soul of Orlando came to life in it.
