Biography

In 1933 he graduated from the Voronezh Agricultural College. In 1939 - the Leningrad Institute of Journalism .

From 1927 he worked on the collective farm , in 1928-1933 he studied at a school and a technical school. In 1933-1935 he was an agronomist of the MTS .

Since 1938, was on the editorial work. In 1938–1941 - head of department, deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Socialist agriculture”, executive editor of the newspaper “Sovetskaya Moldavia”

In 1941-1946 he served in the Red Army .

Member of the Great Patriotic War : from August 1941, he served in the political administration of the Southern Front , was seconded to the 15th Infantry Division . From May 1942 - inspector of the political department of the 4th Air Army , then - the editor of the newspaper "Krylya Sovetov" of the 4th Air Army. Finished the war in the rank of lieutenant colonel .

In 1946–1960 - head of the agricultural department, deputy editor, editor for the agricultural department, member of the editorial board of the Pravda newspaper.

Since 1960 - chief editor of the newspaper " Rural Life ".

In the years 1962-1964 - Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee and head of the Agricultural Department of the CPSU Central Committee for the Union Republics.

Since 1964 - Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Executive Secretary of the Economic Newspaper .

Member of the CPSU (b) since 1939 , member of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1962-1966), candidate since 1961. Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 6th convocation.

Since 1984 - a personal pensioner of union value.

He died on March 1, 2003 . He was buried at the Vagankovo ​​cemetery [1] .
