Sokolovskaya Natalia Evgenievna (born 1956, Leningrad ) - prose writer , poet , translator of Georgian poetry [1] .

Biography
Born in Leningrad , studied in Moscow at the Literary Institute (seminar of L. A. Ozerov and A. N. Bestavashvili ).
In 1982, after graduation, she lived in Georgia for ten years, the first time she lived in the house of the poet’s widow Titian Tabidze [2] . She married the translator Tengiz Pataray, gave birth to a son [3] . She worked at the Merani Publishing House, translated local poets (O. Chiladze, T. Tabidze, J. Charkviani and others) and published two books of poetry and translations, The Nature of the Light (1985) and Unsealed Letters (1988). The translations of Sokolovskaya repeatedly received a rather high rating [4] [5] , and her own poems were subsequently included in the anthology of V. Kostrov and G. Krasnikova “Russian Poetry. XX century ” [6] .
In 1992, she returned to St. Petersburg. Since 1993 he has been working in various publishing houses of the city. Compiled by the books of Boris Kornilov and Olga Berggolz, in which, in addition to poems and poems, there are excerpts from diaries, letters, materials brought against poets of criminal cases [7] [8] . The author of the idea and coordinator of the first in Russia bilingual edition of Shota Rustaveli 's poem “The Knight in Tiger Skin ” with extensive historical and textual commentary (2007) [9] . Co-author of the script (together with A. Chikicheva) of the film “Blockade: The Effect of Presence” (100TV, 2010). The author of the idea and co-writer (with A. Chikicheva) of the film “Boris Kornilov: Everything about life, nothing about death ...” (100TV, 2011). Editor of the siege diaries of Leningraders and the new edition of the "Blockade Book" A. Adamovich and D. Granin.
In the 2000s, she turned to prose. He is the author of several collections of short stories [10] and the novels Literary Slave: Weekdays and Holidays (under the pseudonym Natalia Sorbatskaya) [11] and Draw God ” [12] .
Member of the Union of Writers of St. Petersburg. Member of the creative union "Masters of literary translation." Member of the International PEN Club. In December 2013, she signed a collective appeal by Russian writers in support of Euromaidan [13]
