The 1946 World Snooker Championship is the main snooker tournament in the spring of 1946 in London , England . The championship finals were played daily from May 6 to May 18 from 15:00 and 19:30. The winner of the tournament was Joe Davis , who won in the final against Horace Lindrum with a score of 78:67. For Joe Davis, it was already the 15th consecutive victory in the world championship .

- Horace Lindrum reached the final of the championship for the third time. Before that, he played in the matches of 1936 and 1937 . Both times he met with Davis, and both times lost to him.
