Abdulino is a city in Russia , in the Orenburg region . The city is the administrative center of the Abdulinsky district .

Content
Geography
The city is located in the Urals , on the Tiris River (a tributary of the Ik River), 280 km north-west of Orenburg , near the border with Bashkortostan .
History
It was first mentioned in 1795 as the “newly established village of Abdulova” with a population of 37 people, named after Elder Abdula Yakupov. Since 1811, it was called Abdulino. After the construction of the Samara-Zlatoust railway in 1886-1888, it becomes a railway station . In 1895, the company “Perov and Zuev” built a plant for the processing of buckwheat into groats across the Tiris River. A large steam mill and elevator were built in Abdulino. In 1923, Abdulino received urban status.

The industry is mainly represented by food industry enterprises (bakery, dairy). Enterprises of railway transport ( plant for the repair of track machines , parts factory) and building materials. Experimental factory of agricultural machinery, other enterprises. Railway station on the Samara - Ufa line of the Kuibyshev railway [19] .
