Road to Guantanamo ( English The Road to Guantanamo ) is a British film directed by Math Whitecross and Michael Winterbottom . The story of the fate of three young British Muslims who, after the events of September 11, 2001, went to Pakistan to visit relatives and were arrested on charges of having links to al Qaeda. In Guantanamo prison, they were held without trial for more than two years, every day trying to get them to confess to participate in terrorist activities. The film was shot in Pakistan , Afghanistan and Iran , which portrayed Cuba . The film is interspersed with footage of interviews, news broadcasts and staged scenes.

Content
Story
The film tells the story of the real history of the British of Pakistani origin, who came to their wedding at home and happened to be in Afghanistan. Caught in captivity by the forces of the Northern Alliance, they quickly fall into the hands of the American military. Subsequently, they were transported to a prisoner of war camp at Guantanamo in Cuba , where they spent two years. Constant interrogation, humiliation, slander lead them to the brink of a nervous breakdown. Three of the four friends starred in the film Winterbottom. The fourth was missing in Afghanistan, allegedly killed by bombardment.
