Biography
Born on September 23, 1910 in the village of Gonchakovo, now Verkhnelandehovsky district, Ivanovo region, in a peasant family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1943 . He graduated from the 4 classes of the Baranovsky rural school. In 1934 he moved to the city of Vyazniki, Vladimir region, worked as a joiner at the factory. Before the war he worked in the city of Noginsk, Moscow Region .
In June 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army . On the front since August 1942 . He passed the way from the ordinary Red Army man to the assistant platoon commander. He took part in the bloody battles on the Don in the summer of 1942 and was awarded the Order of the Red Banner . Later he fought on the Voronezh front, liberated the Donbass. He was awarded the medal "For Courage".
Distinguished in battles when crossing the Dnieper . On the night of September 26, 1943, Senior Sergeant Kiselev as part of the assault squad of 36 fighters using improvised means crossed over to the right bank of the Dnieper near the village of Voyskovoe ( Solonyansky District, Dnipropetrovsk Region ). The platoon, commanded by Kiselev, captured the enemy's trench and stronghold. Brave fighters for two days were fighting to hold the bridgehead. They repelled 5 enemy counterattacks, destroyed up to 50 German soldiers and officers, captured 18 horses and one cannon. Personally, S. S. Kiselyov destroyed more than 10 Germans. By their actions, the brave paratroopers provided the crossing of the main forces of the regiment.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated November 1, 1943, courage and heroism shown during the crossing of the Dnieper Guards to senior sergeant Sergey Semenovich Kiselev awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 944).
Passed with honor to the end of the war. He took part in the Korsun-Shevchenko operation , fought through the territory of Romania and Hungary, participated in the capture of Budapest . Victory Day met in Prague.
After the war, he continued to serve in the Armed Forces of the USSR for some time. In 1945 he entered the Tashkent Infantry School named after V. I. Lenin . But I did not finish my studies due to age and insufficient education (only primary). In October 1946 he was demobilized.
He lived in Tashkent , worked as a carpenter. In early 1994, he and his daughter moved to their homeland in the Ivanovo region. For a short time he lived in the city of Kokhma .
He died on September 27, 1994 . He was buried in the town cemetery of Kokhma, in the military burial sector.
