Harkat-ul-jihad al-islamia

Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islamia ( Arabic: حركة الجهاد الإسلامي , literally, Islamic Resistance Movement ) (IDS) is a Sunni Islamist fundamentalist militarist organization, the most active in South Asian countries such as Pakistan , Bangladesh and India , since the beginning of 1990 s. It was banned in Bangladesh in 2005, and was labeled as a terrorist organization by the United States in the late 1990s.

It began its activity in 1984, with the announcement of jihad against shuravi . After the war ended, it partially fell apart. The bases were in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Known for its terrorist attacks in India.
