Activist of the People's Union for Democracy
The People's Union for Democracy ( Thai พันธมิตร ประชาชน เพื่อ ประชาธิปไตย ; unofficially yellow shirts ) is a conservative-monarchist opposition Thai group, one of the most active parties to the 2008 political crisis . It was originally created as a party of the middle class and conservative circles, dissatisfied with the policies of Prime Minister Shinawatra . The surge of activity is associated with an attempt by the authorities to transfer the controversial border temple to Cambodia . The main symbol of the party is yellow - the color of the king [1] . The leader is media tycoon Sondhi Limthongul.
