Analysis of the functioning environment ( English Data Envelopment Analysis ), the generally accepted abbreviation - ASF ( English DEA ) - a methodology for the comparative analysis of the activities of complex technical , economic and social systems .
The beginning of this approach was laid in the works of A. Charnes, V. Cooper, E. Road, R. Banker in the 1970s and 1980s . Currently, the ACF methodology covers a much wider range of concepts and capabilities than just calculating and analyzing the effectiveness of complex objects.
The ASF methodology has a deep connection with mathematical economics , system analysis , multi-criteria optimization , it allows you to build a multi-dimensional economic space, find optimal development paths in it, calculate the most important quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the behavior of objects, and simulate various situations.
