Creation History
The first production of the opera took place in Tbilisi , at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater on June 3, 1961 [1] .

Libretto
A plot was plotted against King George by Prince Mamamze Eristavi and the elders of Phovi. George learns about this and, together with the Catholicos Melchizedek, accompanied by a large retinue, arrives in Phovi [1] .
