The Democratic Union for Integration ( Macedonian Democratic Union for Integration , Alb. Bashkimi Demokratik për Integrim ) is the largest political party that reflects the interests of the Albanians of the Republic of Macedonia .

Ideology and Symbolism
Six stars on the party’s emblem are associated with six parts of Great Albania - a hypothetical territory, the political unification of which the Albanian nationalists consider their goal.

History
The party arose after the signing of the Ohrid Agreement , which stopped the 2001 Albanian-Macedonian conflict .
Leaders
The permanent leader of the party is Ali Ahmeti , in the past - the field commander, leader of the National Liberation Army during the Albanian-Macedonian confrontation .
Election Participation
After the parliamentary elections on June 1, 2008, a coalition was formed between the victorious VMRO-DPMNE and the Democratic Union for Integration. VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevsky received a mandate to form a government from President Branko Crvenkovsky . The new government was approved by parliament on July 26 . In the 2011 parliamentary elections, the party received 115,092 (10.24%) votes and 15 deputy mandates.
