Airport (subway station, Hong Kong)

“ Airport ” is the Hong Kong Airport Line Airport Line subway station. The station serves the Hong Kong International Airport , and is integrated with the passenger terminal. The station was opened in July 1998 at the same time as the airport, serving the western terminal station prior to the opening of the AsiaWorld-Expo station on December 20, 2005 . Platform 3 was built opposite platform 1 to allow for access to the new SkyPlaza and Terminal 2. The new platform began operating on February 28, 2007 , [1] when additional check-in services opened at Terminal 2. Airport Express trains stopping at the stations now open two doors simultaneously for the platforms - the doors on the left open for Terminal 1, and for the door on the right open for Terminal 2 and SkyPlaza. The station has platform sliding doors .
