He graduated from elementary school. From the age of 9 he was left without a mother, and his father was at the front. He began to work in the field, as a teenager he went to logging, to rafting the forest on the Unzhe River. He was an active Selkor of the Kostroma newspaper Borona. At the beginning of 1927 he left for the city of Ivanovo-Voznesensk (now Ivanovo ). He worked as a carpenter in the construction of the Krasnaya Talka factory, residential buildings, bridges in the city.

At the end of 1927 he voluntarily came to the draft board, passed exams and was sent to study at the Ivanovo-Ascension Infantry School, located in the city of Orel. But I didn’t manage to finish my studies. In 1930, he was expelled for health reasons. He returned to Ivanovo . Work in the city council "Osoaviahima" , then at the engineering plant. Successfully finished the evening rabfak. In 1936 he came to work at the Energozapchast plant, and headed the production department. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1938 . He studied in absentia at a textile institute.

In November 1941, he refused the “armor”, volunteered for the Red Army . At first he was enlisted in the paratrooper brigade in the city of Teykov (Ivanovo Region), but was soon declared unfit for service in the airborne troops due to health reasons. As part of the 105th separate rifle battalion, he served in the rear, guarded bridges and railways. Only in September 1942 was he enlisted as an automatic rifleman in the 11th Guards Tank Brigade, who was on vacation in Saratov.

Since December 1942 - in the army. He received baptism of fire in battles near the city of Sevsky. Commander of the division of machine gunners, the party organizer of the company, Krupinov, went with his guards tank brigade through the fire of the Oryol-Kursk battle, took part in the defeat of the Germans in Ukraine. More than once in a difficult situation, when officers failed, he took command of the unit. In the ranks of the 2nd Panzer Army reached Berlin .

Particularly distinguished himself in February-March 1944 , during the defeat of the Korsun-Shevchenkovsky group of the enemy. Five guards tanks and forty submachine gunners, including Krupinov among them, took up defensive positions between the villages of Dzhurzhentsi and Pochapintsy, blocking the path of the Hitler tank division, which was breaking through from the encirclement. The whole day was a battle with superior forces. Ammunition was already running out and then the tankers launched a counterattack, crushing the enemy with caterpillars. Holding on to the armor of one of the tanks, Sergeant Krupinov mowed the Nazis rushing about on the road with a light machine gun, and shot the retreating enemy point blank. Unable to withstand the pressure, the enemy began to surrender.

On March 5, 1944, the Uman-Botoshan operation began . In three days, tankers fought sixty kilometers with battle. In these offensive battles of the guard, foreman Krupinov was always ahead. When a motorized rifle battalion with tanks, pursuing the enemy, burst into the village of Buki, he was the first with his squad to cross the Gorny Tikich river and fire flanking the retreating Nazis. In the battles for the village of Pomoynik Krupinov took command of the platoon, caught up with the enemy and imposed a close hand-to-hand combat on him. Several times Krupinov went into reconnaissance and brought valuable information about the enemy. On March 10, tankers broke into the city of Uman . Sergeant Krupinov again distinguished himself in street battles.

The next day, eight tanks with machine gunners on armor at high speed passed behind enemy lines. Suppressing the resistance of the Nazis along the line, the detachment broke into the village of Berezki-Bershad and captured the crossing of the Southern Bug River . Reflecting the enemy’s counterattack, Krupinov correctly placed the machine gunners and skillfully led the battle. Submachine gunners and tankers held off the crossing until the main forces arrived. In this battle, the Nazis lost 353 soldiers and officers killed, 5 vehicles, 10 wagons, 15 machine guns and other weapons.

In April 1944 he was sent to junior lieutenant courses of the 2nd Guards Tank Army. When I studied, I learned about the assignment of a high rank.
