Biography

He was born on February 10, 1923 in the village of Putkovskaya, now Vichugsky District, Ivanovo Region, in a working class family. Russian

He graduated from high school and the Vichug flying club.

In 1940 he was drafted into the Red Army and sent to the flight school. In 1941 he graduated from the military aviation school of pilots, was a pilot instructor of the military aviation school of primary training. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944 .

On the fronts of World War II from October 1943 . From the first day until the Victory he fought as part of the 43rd assault aviation regiment. He participated in the battles for the liberation of Crimea.

He made his first sorties in the Kerch area to support the Eltigen landing. By bombing and assaulting the enemy from the air, they often carried ammunition, food and equipment for paratroopers. In one of the sorties, the young pilot distinguished himself twice. When attacking an enemy airfield, he personally destroyed three Yu-88s , set fire to a tank with fuel and suppressed anti-aircraft gun fire. And when he was returning, he noticed an enemy ship from which intensive shelling of our positions was conducted. Turning to the side and skillfully maneuvering, he attacked the target, opened fire on the ship with cannons and machine guns. A fire broke out on the ship, and then an explosion occurred.

Pilot Kazakov went through the whole Crimea with fights. Freed Kerch and Theodosius, Simferopol and Sevastopol. He bombed fortifications on the Mekenziev mountains, destroyed tanks near the Sixth Verst, suppressed firing positions near Balaklava, stormed Salun Mountain. In May 1944, the war ended in Crimea, and the 43rd Guards Assault Regiment was transferred to Belarus.

In the battles for Mogilev in July 1944, Lieutenant Kazakov was already a flight commander and led a group of attack aircraft into battle. The guardsman conducted many fights in Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, and Germany. And every time he returned with a victory. By May 1945, the guard commander , Lieutenant Kazakov, made 174 sorties to bombard and attack enemy personnel and equipment, destroyed 18 tanks, up to 80 vehicles, over 40 field and anti-aircraft artillery guns, 5 small ships, 7 fuel tanks, hundreds of Nazis .

Since 1946, the guard senior lieutenant Kazakov - in stock. He graduated from the Law Institute, worked in the Leningrad Regional Committee of the CPSU . After graduating from the Higher Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, he was in responsible work. Retired captain Kazakov lived in the hero city of Moscow .

He died on January 24, 1995 . He was buried in Moscow , at the Troekurovsky cemetery .
