Story
In a small town, a funny inventor Pippi Longstocking appears. The girl came alone, with a horse and a suitcase full of treasures that crooks hunt for (in the end, there is an aquarium). Peppy’s mother died when the girl was still a baby, and her father, captain Ephraim Longstocking, disappeared (as Peppy herself says: “He was washed away from the deck by the wave and he became king on the island of the natives”).
Peppy makes friends - brother and sister Tommy and Annika - who are ready to participate in all her games. However, strict and prim ladies, led by Froken Rosenblum, want to send Peppy to the orphanage. But the girl runs away, taking everything for the game, and, losing their hope of catching a naughty child, they actually sell it to the circus director as a good gymnast and clown.
Peppy is saved from injustice by her father Ephraim, who came to his daughter. He accuses the circus director, whom he met earlier, of many crimes, as a result of which he falls into the water and floats away. Peppy goes on a long voyage with her father, but, seeing how Tommy and Annika were upset, decides to stay and jumps into the water from an already sailing ship.
