History

Aesthetic Perfection was founded by Daniel Graves (aka Daniel Long) in America, not just anywhere, but in Hollywood itself, at the beginning of 2000. The project brought completely new initiatives to EBM / Electro-Industrial. Nowadays, when many musical teams look and sound like copies of each other, Aesthetic Perfection is not afraid of experiments and provocations, using elements from completely different directions and combining seemingly incompatible things into a single whole. As Daniel himself states: “My music is me and my view of this world. Political or social manifestos are not for me, music is what I can do best, so the most suitable form for my expression. I always try to create songs that differ one from another, but I stick to the chosen rhythm. I really like the hard sound, but I'm also a big fan of melodic moments. And so I always had a great desire to combine these two extremes . "

“The name of the project (Aesthetic Perfection) is not related to music. This name is a reflection of Hollywood, where everything is adapted to fake gloss, tinsel and glamor: movie stars, plastic surgery, and fake people in general. In my opinion, this name is great for a group from Hollywood, ” Daniel sneers.

The band's debut album, titled Close To Human, released in February 2005 on Bractune Records in America and Out Of Line in Europe, impressed all fans and critics with its explosive aggression and incredible fusion of styles. From the first to the last bit, the disc is filled with high-quality electronic music. The whole album has airiness unusual for dark electro / EBM. Despite the general gloomy mood - impotent anger, depression, contempt - the album is perceived very easily and contains compositions that are completely different in style and sound. Moreover, Daniel did not look back at the monsters, the founders of the genre, but created his own original and high-quality musical product. The authoritative German magazines Orkus and Zillo for February 2005 gave the album “Close To Human” the highest ratings and called Aesthetic Perfection “Group of the month”.

In the same 2005, after a breakthrough with the debut of Aesthetic Perfection, the creative musician opened another NECESSARY RESPONSE project - it included songs that, according to Daniel, did not correspond to the format of his main project. The first NECESSARY RESPONSE tracks to be released were Forever and Spilling Blood, which were included in the Machineries of Joy Vol. 3 "and" Machineries Of Joy Vol. 4 "respectively. Another delicious track “Pale (Beta Edit)”, which gave a very good idea of what to expect from a full-length album, was presented in 2006 on the compilation “Awake The Machines Vol. 6 ". The full-length debut entitled “Blood Spills Not Far From the Wound” was released in March 2007 and successfully synthesized the nostalgia of synthpop rhythms with the aggressive mood of futurepop, TBM and industrial. In February 2008, the group toured the United States together with the well-known synthpop team DE / VISION, and in May 2008 performed at the prestigious Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Germany. Also under the NECESSARY RESPONSE brand, Daniel has remixed remixes for famous bands such as Blutengel and L'Âme Immortelle.

In 2008, after a three-year hiatus, Aesthetic Perfection returns with a crushing sequel album called “A Violent Emotion”, which represents the group at an even higher technical level and once again shows that Daniel does not want to follow the beaten track. The sound of AESTHETIC PERFECTION is coolly mixed with the traditional Dark Electro and the newfangled TBM, but we are not just regular maniacs and militarists who embody Total Evil - it’s rather a kind of “intelligent dark electro” open to external influences, including even borrowings from the field of popular music . The co-producer of the album was Krischan Wesenberg from the ROTERSAND group, who once again proved that everything he undertakes turns, if not into gold, then into a very high-quality product of a dark scene.

At the end of 2008, the group embarks on a large-scale American tour with IMPERATIVE REACTION and, and at the beginning of 2009 supports the European COMBICHRIST tour. In February 2009, A Violent Emotion was released under license in Russia for Gravitator Records.
