Book Reviews

Candidate of Cultural Studies , Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Bioethics and Cultural Studies of UGMA, E. V. Belousova , regarding the “Satanic Bible”, notes the following: [1]

“It helps to formulate the point of view that the generally accepted image of a Satanist as a certain type, muttering something Masonic , is inaccurate. The Satanic Bible is a consistent, rational work outlining a belief system that attracts the great interest of adolescents. According to the Satanists, the afterlife does not exist, at least paradise , so you have to rush to enjoy earthly pleasures. La Wei quite clearly connects the revival of Satanism with the cult of bodily desires, an indulgence in the carnal lusts characteristic of popular culture . In essence, Satanism is an extreme expression of materialism and hedonism of modern Western civilization. ”
