Albert Kalongeji ( French: Albert Kalonji ; 1929-2015) - Congolese statesman, head of the self-proclaimed state of South Kasai during the years of the Congolese crisis. Belonged to the forehead . He began his career as an associate of Patrice Lumumba . Declared the independence of Southern Kasai, became its president, but then assumed the title of Mulopwe (King) of Southern Kasai.
