Biography
Bogdanov was born in the Ulyanovsk region into a Tatar family. He began his career in 1918 as a locksmith in a cloth factory. In 1922, voluntarily [1] entered the service in the Red Army . He graduated from the Ulyanovsk Infantry School ( 1926 ), courses of armored forces in Leningrad ( 1929 ). From 1932 to 1940 - Head of Communications at the Leningrad School of Tank Technicians. In 1939 , he graduated in absentia from the Military Academy of the Red Army. Frunze . Until 1950 , he served in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany , was discharged in 1953. He died in 1983 .
World War II
During the Great Patriotic War, Bogdanov H.S. commanded various units and units on the Kalinin, Moscow and Steppe fronts. He participated in battles on the Kursk Bulge, on the Sandomierz direction, liberated Prague, Vienna, and Yuteborg. He distinguished himself during the Berlin operation when the 22nd Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade ( 6th Guards Tank Corps of the 3rd Guards Tank Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front ) under his command April 22, 1945 , waging heavy battles with large enemy forces, captured a foothold on the north bank of the Telt Canal. On April 25, 1945 , the Bogdanov brigade was one of the first to break into Berlin from the south, ensuring the advance of other formations and parts of the corps to the city center. May 30, 1945 Bogdanov Kh.S. was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union .
