Toponymy

Perhaps the name goes back to the name of the ancient Shor settlement of Aba Tura. When the Russians adopted the name Aba-Tour, they turned it into Abagur. But, most likely, the settlement was named after the Abagur River. So could be called Kondoma or Tom. Apparently, the Ket Assans lived in these places at a time when tribes of Iranian origin lived next to them. The latter all called any large rivers “ap” (ab, about). Kondoma or Tom could at that time be called "Ab" (up, about). The Ket-Assans attached their geographical term "gur" to "Ab" to Ab. in the process of phonetic changes, the name took the form of Abagur. The rivers (Kondoma or Tom) lost their ancient name Abgur ("river"), but it was preserved in the name of the Shor settlement of Abagur ulus, whose name was given to the modern village [1] .

History

Detachments of Russian service people, including Tomsk Tatars , not exceeding forty people, were based in the Bazayak volost since the fall of 1609 . In 1610, they founded the Abinsk town (Aba-tur, later Abagur) near the Abinsk ulus , above the mouth of Kondoma .

Until 1928, Abagur was predominantly Shor ulus . In the last year of the NEP , a harbor , a sawmill and barracks for workers were built here. In fact, Abagur became a full-fledged settlement in 1929 in connection with the construction of colonies for special immigrants and captured Germans. Near these "zones" houses, enterprises were built. Since 2004, it became part of the city of Novokuznetsk [2] .

For the construction of the railway Novokuznetsk - Abakan in 1948 was founded PMS-2 ZSZD; until 1960, it was simply “Train-154,” the wagons of which stood on the siding of the Abagur-Lesnoy station.

In the village was LIU-16 ("tubzone"). Which contains prisoners with HIV and tuberculosis.

Honorary residents: Galanov Stepan Yuryevich.

Transport

There is a railway station in the village through which the Novokuznetsk-Mezhdurechensk electric train passes five times a day and the Talzhino-Prokopyevsk electric train once a day.

Although the village is part of the Central District of Novokuznetsk (the straight line distance to which is about 3 km), bus traffic to the Privokzalnaya Ploshchad stop is organized through Ordzhonikidzevsky , Kuznetsk and Central districts with a length of about 27 km (route No. 56, travel time about 68 minutes , turnover 165 minutes). This is due to the fact that a pontoon bridge over the Kondoma River floated into the ice drift of 2005 . Route No. 56 is served by Passazhiravtotrans OJSC and is the most dangerous in the city, since the road from Abagur-Lesnoy to the village of Pritomsky is a dirt road with large slopes, without fences running along the cliffs, with no railway crossings.
