Interview
- Oleg Rudolfovich, please tell us where the interest in drafts came from. How did it all start?
- It began a long time ago when drafts were among the ten most popular sports in our country, when everyone played drafts, when in Seversk there were no drafts schools or clubs at all. My father always did drafts. He is a strong candidate for master, prize-winner of the championship of the region. I specifically did not deal with checkers. The only thing I did was take and study a book on theory, sorted out the positions and went to Riga at the age of 15 to the All-Union Championship in International Drafts. Even the practice of the game I still had almost none.
