Biography
Born July 10, 1923 in New Bukhara (now Kagan , Bukhara region , Uzbekistan ) in a Jewish family.
He spent his childhood in Samarkand . He lived with his parents in Samara , began to study at school in Moscow . In 1953 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of L.V. Kuleshov and A.S. Khokhlova ). In 1936, starred in the film " Father and Son " directed by M. A. Barsky . Member of World War II. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1944 .
He died on March 24, 2004 . He was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery .
