History
The first settlements in the Muy Valley were founded by Yakut settlers in 1863. The village of Taksimo was founded in 1910 , the first resident was I. A. Barancheev, an exile from Moscow . The name of the settlement comes from the Evenki "pine forest" or "another bowl" (in the form of the surrounding relief).
A powerful impetus to the development of the village was provided by the construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway in the 1970s and 80s (since 1982, Taksimo has been one of the centers for the construction of the BAM ). The Komsomolets Buryatia detachment, which arrived here in 1980, the construction and assembly train No. 670 under the direction of A. A. Mezentsev , and the shock detachment of builders from Latvia, arrived in July 1982, participated in the construction of infrastructure, production facilities and other objects of the village. In August 1984, on the Taksimo- Vitim section, the Komsomol-Youth Brigade of Alexander Bondar set a world record for laying the track: 5400 meters in 1 day. This achievement as of 2011 was not surpassed by anyone [10] .
April 15, 1981 was assigned to the category of working villages [11] .
On July 20, 1989, the working villages of Taksimo , Tunnel and Severomuisk were transferred from Bauntovsky to Muisky District [11] .
