- 2012
The first official tournament in 2012 for him is the tournament in Doha. This start of the season is successful for Tsong and he managed to win the eighth single ATP title in his career in this tournament. At the first year of the Grand Slam tournament of the Australian Open, Tsonga managed to get to the fourth round, where the Japanese Kay Nishikori , who outplayed Tsonga 6-2, 2-6, 1-6, 6-3, 3-6, blocked his way. In February, the tournament in Marseille reached the semi-finals, and in Dubai to the quarter-finals. At the end of February Tsonga managed to reach the 5th place - the highest line in the world ranking for himself in his career ... At the March tournaments of the highest category, Jo both times goes into the fourth round, but he gets to matches with more seeded tennis players only once: in Miami he in the quarterfinals, three sets fights with Rafael Nadal , but inferior. The start of the dirt season is no better: in the quarter finals of the Davis Cup, his loss to John Isner becomes decisive in the loss of the French team of the United States ; the first personal dirt tournaments are also not very successful: only in Monte Carlo Tsonga reaches the quarter finals, and in other competitions loses in 1-2 matches. By May, the results began to straighten out: in Rome, Jo reached the quarter finals by beating Juan Martin del Potro , and a few weeks later reached the same stage at Roland Garros , first defeating Stanislas Wavrinka in five sets and then losing 2-1 in sets Novak Djokovic .
The grass season was a success for the Frenchman too: Tsonga reached the semifinals again at Wimbledon , and a month later he showed himself well at the Olympics - reaching the quarterfinals of the single tournament and playing in the title match of the tournament among male couples (together with Mikael Llodra, he replayed in the protracted semi-finals of David and Feliciano Lopez , in the finals to concede to the Brian brothers). Putting himself on the grassy ground, Tsonga unsuccessfully holds the US Open Series : at the Canadian Masters and US Open, he only wins only one match. In the fall, Jo-Wilfried gradually returns to his best form, playing in the three finals of small tournaments and reaching the quarter finals of both Masters. Having spent all his strength on this fight, Tsonga could not prove himself in the final tournament, where only a set won in three matches.
- 2013
The New Year also did not please stability: having successfully warmed up at the Hopman Cup , Tsonga then made it to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open , where in five sets he lost to Roger Federer . Following this, the Frenchman played several tournaments in the Old World: having won the base series competition in Marseilles, he lost at slightly larger tournaments at the start, despite the fact that he played in Rotterdam and Dubai with not the strongest opponents. In March tournaments of the highest category, the situation was somewhat improved: Jo repeated last year’s results, losing first to Djokovic and then to Cilic . The start of the dirt season continued the successful series: Tsonga won both of his matches in the quarter finals of the Davis Cup , but the French still lost to Argentina on the away side; and later made it to the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo tournament, breaking the resistance of Stanislas Wavrinka and losing only to the invincible Rafael Nadal here.
2017
In January 2017, at the Australian Open, Tsonga reached the quarter-finals, where he lost to Swiss tennis player Stan Wavrinka with a score of 6-7, 4-6, 3-6. He won the first title of the year in the Netherlands, beating the Belgian David Hoffen in three sets with a score (4-6, 6-4, 6-1). After that, the Frenchman went home and won the second title in a row at the APR in Marseille. In the final, Tsonga fought with his compatriot Luka Pue and won in two sets - 6-4, 6-4. In late May, Tsonga conquered another French tournament in the ATP series. This time, his opponent in the final was Czech Tomas Berdych. In a stubborn duel, the Frenchman outplayed the Czech with a score of 7-6, 7-5, thereby being able to win his third title this year.
2019
At the Australian Open, he reached 2 laps, where he lost to future champion Novak Djokovic.
Then in February, at a home tournament in Montpellier, he won the first title of the season, beating compatriot Pierre-South Erber in the final.
In July, Tsonga participated in the Wimbledon tournament , where he reached the third round, but lost in three sets to Spaniard Rafael Nadal [4] .
