Donald Bain ( eng. Donald Bain , March 6, 1935 - October 21, 2017 [3] ) is an American writer and literary Negro who has written over 80 books in his 40-year career. He was a graduate of Purdue University in Indiana and the holder of several literary awards. Bane is also a professional jazz musician and songwriter.

In the English-speaking world, he became known for writing allegedly in collaboration with two fictional stewardesses, Trady Baker and Rachel Jones, a series of fictitious glamorous memoirs from the life of stewardesses with piquant details. In 1973, a television movie was released, the script of which was based on the plot of the first of the books in this series.
The Russian-speaking reader is better known for translating his works from the series “ She wrote the murder ”, allegedly written in collaboration with Jessica Fletcher .
