Name Origin
The name of the village comes from the Kabardian word lіyshіe "worker, laborer" [2] .
There are three versions of the origin of the name.
1. They say that once a hunter lived in the Pinschina. He shot animals, caught fish in the rivers. But once I got into such a thicket that I could not get out. I got tired. And then the night came. Once he got to the clearing and fell asleep. When I woke up, I could not marvel at the beauty of this place. A blue ribbon of a river twisted nearby, on the outskirts of the forest springs sang endless songs, the meadow turned green, the flowers gleamed. The swamp lay still further. For a long time the hunter could not forget this place. And he soon moved here with his family. Years passed. Other dugouts grew next to the hunter's dugout. A settlement was born. Once a local pan got here, he saw local settlers and was surprised: “Well, I’m here, gal_cha!” And this name was fixed for the village. Over time, "ha" fell away, and the village began to be called Lyscha.
2. Once a local pan wanted to surprise Polesukov with an unusual drink. He took a bottle of drink and, calling for a tall young guy, poured a full mug. Before the pan managed to gasp, he emptied the vessel and asked: "Li yshche!" Hence the name of the village.
3. The origin of the name of the village closest to reality can be found in folk songs. Some of them often mention such a thing as “thin thin little button”. “Lyshchyna” is “lyashchyna”, which is translated from the Belarusian language as “hazel”. From here, obviously, the name of the village went, because around it there are indeed vast thickets of hazel.
